Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences and Technology (SAIHST)
was established through the collaboration of Sungkyunkwan University, Samsung Electronics, and Samsung Medical Center (SMC) to contribute to the clinical medicine and health sciences and technology of Korea.
Research in SAIHST focuses on developing knowledge and methods applicable to the fundamentals of clinical medicine as well as the medical device to treat, diagnose and prevent diseases.
With the vision to train professionals to lead clinical medicine and health industry, SAIHST provides four academic programs; the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, Department of Medical Device Management and Research, Department of Clinical Research Design and Evaluation and the Department of Digital Health.
Our lab explores cancer genomics and their functions through the latest technology such as NGS, spatial transcriptomics, and more!
Based on this, we screen for the heterogeneity of cancer and identify their formation mechanism through functional analysis, looking for ways to apply our research to the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
